Reviews are a bit like sawdust. Give it a few years and they are scattered everywhere: Trustpilot, Facebook, product pages, and blog posts that we keep updating like this one, started in 2022 and last updated early 2025.
To try and help fix this, our new reviews page pulls together what customers have said about us over the last few years, it states where they left the review and gives a link so you can see the full thing in context.
Reviews matter but they are hard to get
For a made-to-order product, we know that our reviews do a lot of heavy lifting to help you decide if Solid Wood Tops is the right fit for your requirements. Specifying an entirely bespoke top using the tools on our website means you only see it when it arrives. Reading how it went for people who did the same is probably the most useful thing we can show you before you order.
But writing a review is the last thing you want to do once you have received your top. You are much more interested in getting your office set up. This is made especially hard because we don’t incentivise reviews. No discount codes or prize draws. It makes reviews even harder to get, but it also makes them much more valuable to us. Every one we have is there because the customer wanted to write it, it means a lot.
Why you can trust our reviews
Every review on the page says where it was left, and links to the exact place you can find it. Our older reviews came in through Trustpilot and Facebook, so you can read each one in full, in context, on the site it was written on.
Since August 2026, we are no longer using Trustpilot as our key review platform.
Instead, we are working with VerifiedReply, a service that keeps the customer’s original email. When we publish a review from one of those email replies, VerifiedReply checks it against the email it holds, proving that we are quoting them accurately. Each of those reviews on our product pages carries a small logo which you can click to see VerifiedReply’s record of the check.
Note: the VerifiedReply check only covers reviews collected by email, so far the ones from late August 2026 onwards. The rest are linked to where they were left.

If you have something to say, good or otherwise, just reply to the email we sent asking for your feedback. We can then publish your reply, word for word. You can say whatever you like, we don’t guide you through a form or expect you to make an account. You can also send us pictures of your finished set up, which we love to see!
